Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building key customer relationships, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The BDM will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that drive business growth. The role involves generating new leads, negotiating client contracts, and overseeing the expansion of the company's customer base to achieve revenue and profitability goals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and direct outreach.
    • Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue from new and existing clients.
    • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners to foster long-term business growth.
    • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to promote the company’s services and establish connections.
    • Act as a liaison between the company and clients to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.

  • Negotiation and Contracts:
    • Lead negotiations with potential clients to secure favorable terms and close deals.
    • Prepare, review, and finalize contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
    • Work with legal and finance teams to ensure contracts align with corporate standards and financial objectives.

  • Market and Competitor Analysis:
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for growth.
    • Provide insights and recommendations on emerging trends to senior leadership to guide business strategy.
    • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients and strategic partners.

  • Reporting and Strategy Development:
    • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, achievements, and opportunities.
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term business development plans and forecasts.
    • Set and achieve short- and long-term goals in line with the company's growth objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field (3-5 years preferred).
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Results-driven with a proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales forecasting tools.
